The Two Templates: Book of Dead and Gonzo’s Quest
Two older games set patterns that much of this theme still follows: the expanding book symbol and the tumbling reel.
The Expanding Book Symbol
Book of Dead from Play’n GO is the cleanest version of the book format that Novomatic’s Book of Ra made famous.
