Time Travel Tigers
Yggdrasil built this game with GVC, now Entain, as an exclusive partner title. Its free spins drop you into one of four eras at random, each with its own number of spins, its own multiplier and between 1 and 20 wilds on every spin; the future era, for example, gives ten spins at 2x. It returns 96.30%, and the 3,104x top win matches Yggdrasil’s published cap of €388,000 at a €125 stake.
Wolf Gold
Pragmatic Play’s 2017 favourite returns 96.01%, or 93.99% in its lower version, and the studio rates its volatility at six out of ten. Mega Moolah
The Microgaming jackpot game from 2006, now with Games Global. Its 88.12% counts only base-game wins: part of every stake feeds four progressive jackpots, Mini, Minor, Major and Mega, and sources disagree on how much that share adds. The jackpot wheel can start at random after any base-game spin, but not during free spins. Ten Points Apart on the Same Lines
Blood Suckers and Mega Moolah share the same twenty-five lines on the same 5×3 grid, yet their returns sit almost ten points apart. On a £1 spin, Blood Suckers keeps about 2p on average and Mega Moolah about 12p.
The gap comes from the jackpots. Mega Moolah sets aside part of every stake for prize pools that only a handful of players ever win, so for everyone else the base-game return is what comes back. Blood Suckers has no pool to fund, which leaves its whole return in ordinary wins.
